Learn To Play (LTP) is for youth (ages 4 to 12) that are just starting hockey or have previously played but are not yet ready for competitive team play. LTP is intended to introduce all of the necessary individual skills for playing hockey, with an emphasis on fun and skill development. This program focuses on the ABC’S of hockey (agility, balance, coordination, and skating). There are no games for LTP, but there may be informal scrimmages during some practices. LTP is a prerequisite that must be completed prior to joining a Youth House 8U or 10U team.
Our Learn to Play (LTP) program is structured into 9-week sessions, with once practice scheduled per week. The cost of each 9-week session is $100.
A membership with USA Hockey is also required. Costs vary depending on age and the state you live in.
Rental equipment is available at the rate of $53 per season (limited availability, while supplies last).
IMPORTANT: Rental gear will not be available for pick up the day of the LTP sessions, so please visit the Gear Rental page to sign up for one of the Gear Fitting Sessions to avoid missing ice time.
